Here in Melbourne and in the Southern Hemisphere, the evenings are getting darker, the autumn mornings are cooler. Across Southeast Asia the wet and rainy season will finish soon, as riders look ahead to the dry warm months in the middle of the year. And across the Northern Hemisphere, winter slowly comes to an end with days of bright sun, crisp then warm air, making for the perfect late morning ride.
Wherever we are, we feel the patterns of our day and our riding change. Embrace the rhythms of the season. Ride earlier, ride later, ride less or more. The seasons remind us that rhythm and change, activity and rest, are part of what we are.
