The jacket is light and packable but so far effective at retaining warmth in cooler weather. It also appears to be water resistant if not waterproof. Will be interesting to see how warm it is in cold weather but it may be warmer than you may anticipate. Very comfortable and the neon mint is nice and visible in low light. Not a cheap jacket but better value if purchased on sale.
