Product Development & Production Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, organised and detail-oriented Product Development & Production Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the development of cycling apparel from concept to final production, ensuring high-quality standards, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. You will work closely with the Creative Director, manufacturers, and suppliers to bring innovative and functional cycling apparel to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end product development process for cycling apparel, including sampling, testing, and production.

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to source high-performance fabrics, trims, and materials that align with the brand's vision and sustainability goals.

  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure quality standards, cost targets, and production timelines are met.

  • Conduct fit sessions and product testing to ensure optimal fit and performance.

  • Oversee production planning, including order placement, scheduling, and monitoring production progress.

  • Maintain and update technical packs, production specifications, and documentation for all products.

  • Research and implement new materials, technologies, and trends in cycling apparel to keep the brand at the forefront of the industry.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in product development and production within the cycling, sportswear, athleisure or outdoor apparel industry preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of technical fabrics, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience working with overseas suppliers and factories.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing demands.

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and other relevant software is preferred.

  • Passion for cycling and knowledge of cycling apparel trends is highly desirable.
