Behind BOLD.02

SIERRA NORTE, MADRID, SPAIN

One day. A lean crew. Four riders. More than seventeen hours from first call to wrap.

BOLD.02 was shot across Sierra Norte, following changing conditions, shifting light and long stretches of road from early morning into the night.

Behind the finished campaign was something less polished: borrowed bikes, a small crew moving quickly, brief conversations before each scene and a shared understanding of what needed to happen.

Photographer Álvaro Casado takes us behind the shoot - from a 6:30am start to an 11:30pm wrap, and the moments between that shaped BOLD.02.

THE BIKE PROBLEM

None of the four riders had their road bikes ready. Some had gravel bikes, others had bikes in the shop. The pre-production chaos was real, so we ended up making do with bikes from the film crew itself.

23:30 / WRAP

With a trusted crew, everything moved smoothly. A quick brief before each scene was enough for the riders to make everything feel natural and organic.

We finally wrapped at 11:30pm, an hour and a half from the city. A long day, but completely worth it.
